La Impostora (The Imposter)

No doubt flushed with the success of La Patrona another serial featuring Christian Bach was commissioned and made the following year (2014). To a large extent the character, Raquel Altamira (Bach) was similar to the character Antonia Guerra she played in La Patrona - I mean, why change a winning formula? The heroine is Blanca Guerrero (Lisette Moreloss) who is hired to become an imposter t to uncover the schemes of Altamira. Some scenes from earlier episodes follows.

In addition to the Altamira villainess we were also treated to a second bad girl in the shape of Mariana Serrano (Begoña Narváez). My Spanish is not too good but Serrano appears to be some kind of hired assassin who acts in tandem with Altamira because she has a daughter by way of Altamira's son. Here are some scenes of Serrano carrying out her assignments.
Serrano continues to be a tough cookie throughout the series including threatening nuns protecting the heroine. In another scene Altamira tests the loyalty of Serrano by ordering her to kill a man she has previously poisoned. Here is that particular scene which is one of my favourite 'bad girls working together' scenes ever.
Needless to say Serrano is betrayed and killed by Altamira who then goes on a shooting spree and kidnaps the heroine, Blanca. Unlike La Patrona, the villianess seems to escape the confrontation with Blanca relatively unscathed paving the way for a sequel which never happened. In fact Bach has not appeared in any telenovelas since La Impotora.
