In my mind this is once of the all time evil women Hindi TV serials. The main villainess is Ramola Sikand (Sundra Shandran) who ruled the Sikand household with a rod of iron - or should that be a gun of iron. There are a lot of episodes starring this mother in law from hell and interestingly enough a similar number featuring other evil cohorts and compatriots. Sundra Shandran has made quite a career of playing evil women on Desi TV and it all stems from her characterisation of Ramola. Here are a few samples of why Ramola was such a wonderful villainess.

Early Episodes

The first 100 episodes or so were pretty unremarkable from the gunwoman viewpoint. Someone was making life hell for Ramola's daughter in law, Shaina, but it took a little while to find out who was responsible. In fact Ramola even had a downer on her second son who she secretly despised.and was married to the hapless Shaina.
